“An open and honest culture is something we create together.”

Wilma Oost-van Basten,
Compliance Officer at Ymere

What does Integrity mean to Ymere?

As a corporation, we have a social responsibility in which transparency and integrity form the foundation. We see that acting with integrity often already happens unconsciously. However, sometimes we face dilemmas where the answer is not always obvious. Especially then, it is important to have the courage to discuss this with colleagues or managers. It’s good to see that we at Ymere are consciously working on this, creating the tools that can help.

What does Ymere hope to contribute to the Week of Integrity?

The Week of Integrity is a moment of extra awareness to draw attention to integrity. With this week, we want to inspire people to dare to ask for help if they are struggling with an integrity issue!

What does Ymere hope to learn from the Week of Integrity?

An open and honest culture is something we create together. Using, among other things, propositions about integrity and acting with integrity, with various forms of internal communication, we hope to make an additional contribution to this open and incorruptible culture during this Week.

Dirkzwager legal & tax is proud to be a Partner of the Week of Integrity. The theme of integrity is topical all year round, but in the coming week - from December 1 to 8 - we will pay extra attention to this. We have a daily programme consisting of hosting webinars on various integrity topics and launching various podcasts and articles.

What is Dirkzwager hoping to gain from the Week of Integrity?

We hope to find a like-minded group of Partners by joining the Week of Integrity, in which common values are shared and deepened. We also see the Week of Integrity as a driver of integrity awareness in Dutch society and in transactions between companies and (semi) public institutions.

What motivated Alliander to get involved with the Week of Integrity?

Alliander attaches great importance to the subject of integrity, both for our internal and external stakeholders. Alliander has a social function, which is why we regard operational integrity as a prerequisite. Whether we are talking about people, planet, safety, trust, truth or respect, continuous attention to integrity is important to us. For us, therefore, it is self-evident to participate in the International Week of Integrity. Because the topic of integrity is never finished.

What does Integrity mean to Alliander?

Alliander aims to be an organisation in which all employees act in the interests of the organisation and society, dare to speak up and can be themselves in a learning and performing way. This means doing the right things (in line with our strategy) in the right way (according to our values), using our code of conduct as a basis.

What is Alliander hoping to contribute to the Week of Integrity?

The Week of Integrity gives our employees and colleagues in the sector the opportunity to engage with integrity in a diverse and interactive way. In addition, we are transparent about the dilemmas we face as Alliander. We see an important role for ourselves in society, so we are happy to share our dilemmas and experiences with others. We have also developed various tools and methods to discuss integrity – we would like to share these good practices in the Week of Integrity.

What is Alliander hoping to gain from the Week of Integrity?

We also hope to learn from our partners by sharing experiences with our colleagues in order to further shape integrity within Alliander. Inspiring stories make integrity tangible for colleagues. Hearing them from other organisations and perspectives enriches our outlook and maturity in the field of integrity.

“Living up to high standards of integrity requires leadership, reflection on the impact of own behaviour on others and on society at large.”

DeComplianceMonitor

DeComplianceMonitor supports the annual ICC International Week of Integrity initiative, as we consider this a valuable source of inspiration for a wide range of stakeholders. This includes senior management of companies, central and local governments, supervisory and enforcement agencies, legislative bodies, industry organisations, and professional practitioners.

To us, integrity is a crucial foundation for business success as protecting trust among stakeholders is key. Living up to high standards of integrity requires leadership, reflection on the impact of own behaviour on others and on society at large. It requires full ownership, clarity, and transparency by senior management on how to apply related standards and requirements in a challenging business context.

During the Week of Integrity, we hope to gain and provide insights on the latest trends and developments by exchanging views, ideas, and experiences. As there are 51 weeks more in a year to move ahead and to inspire others for the benefit of our children, future generations, and society at large...
